The debtor’s whereabouts need to be established, at latest, before taking any legal action against them. Because The court document must be served on the other party in the light of due process. Otherwise, the proceedings cannot be commenced.

In most cases, service will be completed without any trouble. If the debtor is a company, the court document will be served at its principal office. If an individual, it will be served at their residence. However, service can sometimes be a problem. For instance, if the company is a dummy company, you will be required to investigate the representative director’s residence. If the individual has changed their address many times, you will be required to investigate their current residence.
